Hola Maria,
The podcasts are excellent!
I don't know if you'll go for this, but, how about presenting the words in a song as our vocabulary.
Something like Y Te Vas by Motel (it's free on i-tunes).

Mike,
Thanks for your post. I looked into using other people's poems and songs a while ago for my podcasts and pdfs, but the copyright laws make it very difficult to use someone else's material, even if it means you're promoting their work for free. Older songs and poems are OK, but the vocabulary is less useful for beginners.
If anyone has a solution to this, please post it here!
